DESCRIPTION:
European gravity clock for Mappin & Webb Ltd., Johannesburg, South Africa, brass 30 hour timepiece with exposed compound pendulum, c1922.
CONDITION:
the brass case has darkened and tarnished but is otherwise in good condition. The glass dial and white painted hands are okay, and the clock ticks as the movement descends its tooth rack, These were made for the English market, movement appears French; may have been completed in England at the time.
